In her role as a family lawyer, Mekhala has advised clients in relation to a wide array of matters including Property/Financial matters, Parenting Arrangements, Child Support, Binding Financial Agreements, Enforcement Applications, Spousal Maintenance, Relocations, De Facto Relationships and Applications for Divorce.  Mekhala regularly appears in the Family Court, Federal Circuit Court and Supreme Court of New South Wales.

She understands that clients often come to her for advice during a highly emotional period in their lives. Mekhala takes a pragmatic approach and works closely with her clients during these difficult times to ensure that they achieve the best possible outcome in a cost effective and timely manner through alternative dispute resolution procedures such as collaborative law, settlement conferences and mediations or when necessary through the intervention of the court.

Mekhala graduated from Macquarie university with Bachelor of Social Science with the degree of Bachelor of Laws majoring in Sociology and is currently completing a Master of Applied Law, majoring in Family Law and Wills and Estates.  Mekhala has been admitted to practice as a solicitor in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and to the High Court roll of practitioners.
